Safer Shopping Award
The Safer Shopping Award is a national award which focuses on retail and recognises good practice and a partnership approach to crime management. It is making a real contribution to crime reduction in city centres, town centres, shopping centres and retail parks.
Its main objectives are to encourage
strong and effective local partnerships to promote, co-ordinate and
oversee measures which contribute to a safe and secure shopping
area which will manage people's perception of crime and reduce the
fear of crime in the area.
The SBCC can provide all the
relevant documentation for safer shopping as well as giving support
to help areas achieve accreditation.
