It comes after a Falkirk woman had a three-figure-sum of cash taken from her bank account after unwittingly giving her details to a man who called stating he was from a computer company.
The incident took place on Thursday February 2, when the woman was called at home and told that there was an issue with her computer. After keeping her talking on the phone for some time, the man then asked for her bank details to receive payment for the repair work.

On 1 October 2011, a new mandatory condition on liquor licences will commence, requiring an age verification policy to be in place. This involves all on sales and off sales premises to verify, on production of ID, that those who appear to be under the age of 25 years who are trying to purchase alcohol, are in fact over the age of 18 years and thus allowed to lawfully make the purchase.
