4th Annual Policing in 21st Century Scotland
23 January 2012,
Edinburgh,
,
Scotland's eight police forces will merge, creating the second largest force in the UK behind the Metropolitan Police in London. That, of course, will not only have a massive effect on Scotland’s Police Service but also on the many public, voluntary and private sector organisations who are key stakeholders and partners in policing Scotland in the 21st Century.
This annual Holyrood
conference is timely as proposals are brought
forward to the Scottish Parliament. It will explore the likely
positive implications of reform for business, public, and community
services; and it will hear evidence and case studies on how
successful reform must maintain efficiency, accountability,
scrutiny and public trust.
