SBCC Welcome New Executive Director

This month saw the departure of Alan Dobie from the Scottish Business Crime Centre. Alan who was a popular face and known to many, is off to travel, starting in Australia. Replacing Alan and building on the work already achieved under the team is Mandy Haeburn-Little. Mandy has worked in a range of companies including Standard Life, the water authority and Edinburgh Trams. Mandy ran her own business for a 7 year period and also has experience in public, private and charitable sectors.

Coming in to the SBCC is something which Mandy sees as an unique opportunity " I am delighted to be joining such a committed and energetic team. The work of the Centre is far reaching and diverse and there are some excellent examples of partnership with government, the police and the drinks and finance industries. There are also some highly successful award schemes which the centre oversees including the Safer Retailer Award, Safer Shopping Award and Best Bar None. The team has achieved a huge amount through working hand in hand with stakeholders and partners and I am really looking forward to further strengthening our delivery. I believe that with inevitable changes to the Public Sector and the introduction of a single Police force,  that there has never been a time when the partnership approach has been so important  in addressing crime against business."
